Comment 1 regarding the following statement ”

“Abhisit set a realistic target while discussing Suvarnabhumi on his weekly TV broadcast recently: “I think the problems can be significantly reduced — but to get rid of them all together will be difficult.”   – YES AGREE, IT WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT TO GET RID OF AOT (AIRPORT AUTHORITY OF THAILAND) PS: LAST WEEK I WAS APPROACHED 2 TIMES BY ILLEGAL TAXI AND LIMOUSINE TOUTS. DRESSED AND BEHAVE LIKE TRAVELERS WITH BOTH OF THEM EVEN CARRYING LUGGAGE 🙂 VERY CREATIVE INDEED!! WHEN INFORMING ONE SECURITY GUARD HE ONLY SMILED AT ME AND WALKED AWAY……

Comment 2 regarding the following statement:

“Take the case of taxi touts with “broken meters,” which Nirandra Theeranartsin, the airport’s general manager, calls “a monumental problem” that started 40 years ago at Bangkok’s previous international airport.”  TAXIS IN THAILAND DID NOT HAVE METERS 40 YEARS AGO. TAXI METER HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED IN THE EARLY 90’s …. THAT’S SURLY NOT MORE THAN 20 YEARS!  IT HAS TO BE POINTED OUT THAT MOSTLY THE TAXI METERS TOLERATED BY AOT (WITH BAHT 50 SURCHARGE) REFUSE TO TURN ON THE METER
